Hi! I’m Jane, and I want to welcome you to my site. Whoever you are, I am really happy that you are here and thank you very much for your visit. I hope you will find something interesting and useful during your visit.

When I first decided to choose an artist name, the protagonist of a book I read few times when I was young came to mind: Jane Eyre .

Jane is a lonely, poor and humble girl, but she’s also well educated, steadfast and determined. Also, she likes drawing..

I liked, almost admired, her and her personality, whenever I met her in the pages of that book. So, with no hesitation, I took Jane as my artist name.

In my life, I’ve always enjoyed reading, fine music and gardening; I always long for tasty dishes, so I constantly put care and affection in the kitchen, to nourish and satisfy every member of my family

I love many good things, among which Art, naturally.

One day, around ten years ago, from the midst of my old recollections and images of the past, a figure emerged – a child. She wold draw with pencils and colored inks, she would “paint” with chalk, proud and heavy with enthusiasm, whenever a teacher requested it…

Then I asked myself: why not let that girl live again, along with her dreams? Oh  yes, I try, I can do it!

And that is how I re-embraced that old passion for painting that gifted me many
good memories when growing up. I took all of it back in my hands, a grey and almost forgotten dream, and I started to paint it.

For a few years I painted in watercolors and tempera on paper, sometime even on small canvas…

I have portrayed numerous subjects, ranging from animals and birds to, landscapes with the moon. By the way, I must confess my deep love for the moon in all its forms. It has been and always will be the real star of many of my works. Just to honor this lovely muse, I have dedicated a special category, all for her: the MOON section.

By 2020, I began experimenting with acrylics, and most importantly I threw myself into abstractionism, the type of art that made me feel free the most, free to represent every idea that sprang to mind, discovering new techniques with every work, enriching my creativity, expressing myself in my own way.

In the end, that long-lost child lives and grows once again, finally embracing her dream.
